Being the owner of not one dog, but two....explains a lot of things in my life. A year ago I envisioned a beautiful flower garden. A place all to myself. I planted dozens of seeds and transplanted a handful of flowers. I pulled weeds and watered the flowers. This constant battle seemed to do no good no matter what. The flowers would be broken or drooping. The mulch would be scattered in the grass. I finally gave up and hoped for a better spring next year. This past week I was outside taking photos of the one thing that I am proud of, my morning glories. As I was admiring my handy work, I noticed movement in the background. And all at once, I knew why my flowers were broken and mulch spread....all because two hounds gave them too much love!!! I guess to own two dogs (one being a basset hound) means that I have a backyard that is for them and not for me!
